What can I store at Quantum Logistics?
We store caravans and campervans, boats and personal watercraft on trailers, and box, cage and utility trailers: anything that tows, up to 7 m in length. We don't accept motor vehicles that aren't towing a registered trailer, machinery, shipping containers or household goods.
How much does caravan storage cost in Townsville?
Our outdoor bays are $37.25 per week, or $163.90 per month including GST ($149 + GST). Longer terms earn a discount: $425 for 3 months, $805 for 6 months or $1,520 for a year, all including GST.
Where is the storage yard located?
Our yard is at 875 Ingham Road, Bohle QLD 4818, about 15 minutes from the Townsville CBD, just off the Bruce Highway on the city's north-western side.
How secure is the yard?
The compound has a coded personnel gate with no public vehicle access, 24/7 CCTV over every bay, and alarms active outside business hours. Only Quantum Logistics staff move items in or out of a bay.
How do I book a bay?
Call or text 07 4461 1116 with your item's length and how long you need storage for. We confirm a bay, you pay by card, online payment link or bank transfer, sign the booking form, and arrange a drop-off time.
How much notice do I need to give for a pickup?
A minimum of 12 hours' notice. Call or text with your surname and requested time, and we'll have your item ready at the gate.
Can I access my caravan whenever I want?
Walk-in access is available during yard hours, Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm, through the coded personnel gate. There's no vehicle access into the compound. Our staff move items in and out of bays.
Do I need insurance for my caravan or boat while it's stored?
Yes. Your item must be insured by you for the full storage period, including cover for weather, theft and third-party impact. Our bays are outdoors, so items are exposed to normal North Queensland weather.
Is there a minimum storage term?
Yes: your first period of storage runs for a minimum of 4 weeks. After that, storage continues on a rolling basis until you give us 14 days' notice.
What happens during cyclone season?
Townsville has a defined cyclone season, and we plan for it. During a declared severe weather event we may reposition items to reduce wind or flood exposure, ask you to secure or collect your item, and close the yard until authorities confirm it's safe. Billing is suspended for any period the yard is fully closed.
Do I need to prepare my caravan for storage?
Yes: gas bottles must be removed or isolated at the cylinder, solar panels disconnected or covered, and fridges, freezers and other powered appliances switched off. Fit your own wheel clamp or hitch lock for extra security.
Can I store an unregistered caravan or trailer?
Registration must be current where legally required, or an unregistered vehicle permit clearly displayed, in line with Queensland law.
What lengths do your bays take?
Our outdoor bays take caravans, boats on trailers and trailers up to 7 m long. Over 7 m? Call us on 07 4461 1116 and we'll see what we can do.
Is a bond required?
A bond may apply and is confirmed at booking. It's held for the duration of your storage and returned within 14 days of your item being removed and the bay left clear.
